Members of the Tarjan Advisory Committee include people who want to make a positive impact for people with disabilities and their families.
Who are We?
- People with disabilities
- People who work at companies or organizations concerned about individuals with disabilities and their families
- Family members of individuals with disabilities
- People from different backgrounds
Members of our Advisory Committee have the opportunity to:
- Advocate for the needs and preferences of people with disabilities and their families
- Provide advice and contribute to the work of the UCLA Tarjan Center
- Get involved in our sub-committee meetings
Our Sub-Committees:
We have four sub-committees. They are: Training; Outreach and Dissemination; Research; and Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
The Training Sub-Committee focuses on:
- our training program
- who we train and how we train them

The Outreach and Dissemination Sub-Committee focuses on:
- what information to share with the community
- how to share information with the community
Director: Dr. Yasamin Bolourian
The Research Sub-Committee focuses on:
- how to include people with disabilities in research
- how to share study results with the community
- how to use research to change policies
Director: Dr. Rujuta Wilson
The Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Sub-Committee focuses on:
- how to be inclusive in our work and teaching
- how to help people with and without disabilities feel like they belong
