ACCESS webinar: Increasing Inclusion for College Students with Intellectual Disability
As part of the UCLA Tarjan Center's ongoing collaboration with the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office, we are excited to announce our next ACCESS webinar: Increasing Inclusion for College Students with Intellectual Disability. Our Advancing College Capacity for Equitable Student Success (ACCESS) webinars are intended for postsecondary educators and staff who are serving neurodivergent students on campus. Our featured speaker is Jeanine Coleman, the Director of the GLOBAL Inclusive Program, and an Associate Professor at Regis University. Drawing upon her experience as a professor teaching inclusive college level classes, Dr. Coleman will be sharing concrete and practical examples related to syllabus development, class structure, managing behavior, setting clear expectations, and diverse methods of engagement. Beyond the classroom, Dr. Coleman will provide insights into how her program works to create an authentic and inclusive college experience for students with intellectual disability. CART Captioning will be available.
