Cindy Liu

Cindy is a disability justice advocate, Consultant, Board Member, Community Organizer, TEDx Speaker and Social Business Entrepreneur on a mission to create economic equity for all people with disabilities.

She has served on the advisory board for over 5 years, is a member of the Employment Workgroup Community Advisory Group of California's Department of Developmental Services, and on Ventura County's Public Safety Racial Equity Advisory Group.

She founded and leads WeBelong: Everywhere, a grassroots organization on a mission to keep the disabled community safe, educated and employed. She is a founding member of the CA Inclusive College Alliance and worked with statewide educators and advocates to have AB447 (a bill that supports inclusive higher education for the IDD communities) signed into law by Governor Newsom in 2023.

Cindy founded LooHoo’s Enterprises to creates jobs, educational opportunities, and access to economic equity for people with disabilities. She is currently working on her first media project focused on providing education, awareness, and community. The long-term flagship project is LooHoo’s Cafe, a community kitchen, event space and a boba and instant ramen concept. Supported by community partnerships with START.coop and The AARP Foundation, LooHoo’s Cafe offers employment and ownership opportunities for people with disabilities through the co-operative model. Her concept was selected as a Finalist in the 2023 Co-Op Innovation Award. She is participating in an international study on the business models and policies that could create more access to economic equity to peoples with disabilities.

Cindy graduated from BA from UC Riverside, MBA from Thunderbird Graduate School of Management; Stanford Executive Education course on Social Enterprise.
