50+ Years of Autism Discovery at UCLA
For over 50 years, UCLA has been at the forefront of advancements in the field of autism science, with its research and treatment setting the standard for many models used today. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the incorporation of the Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital (NPIH) into UCLA. Now known as the Jane and Terry Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior and the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, it is home to the Center for Autism Research and Treatment (CART).
