About

The Division of Psychology within UCLA’s Department of Psychiatry is dedicated to excellence in clinical training, innovative research, and advancing psychological care. Our comprehensive clinical psychology training programs include rigorous practicum programs, an APA-accredited predoctoral internship, and specialized postdoctoral fellowships, all designed to cultivate expertise in evidence-based assessment and intervention for diverse patient populations. Our distinguished faculty lead pioneering medical psychology research, exploring critical connections between mental and physical health and the study of brain-behavior relations, developing novel treatments, and addressing health disparities in underserved communities. Specialized clinics directed by psychologists, and in which psychologists play key roles, are advancing evidence-based practices spanning a wide range of treatment modalities. By integrating advanced education in clinical psychology with groundbreaking research and direct clinical applications, we aim to prepare the next generation of leaders  in the discipline, who are committed to improving patient outcomes, promoting psychological well-being, and to generating knowledge that contributes to the greater good.
