Recognition for TIES’ achievements and importance to families has come from many sources, and the program has won numerous accolades and awards.

Major funding sources for TIES for Families comes from the Los Angeles County Departments of Children and Family Services and Mental Health and private foundations.

1999	National Association of Counties Achievement Award In recognition of an innovative program that contributes to and enhances county government in the United States
2001	National Adoption Excellence Award In the category of “Support for Adoptive Families”
2003	Comprehensive Community Care Award (Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health) In recognition of the outstanding team approach that integrates the client with family members, partner agencies, community services and resources
