covered a study co-authored by Itzhak Fried, MD, PhD, explaining how the human
brain’s complexities make us more intelligent than monkeys yet also more
vulnerable to psychiatric diseases. Dr. Fried is a professor of neurosurgery
and psychiatry at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and the Jane and
Terry Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA.
