CART’s Dr. James McCracken Discusses Autism and Pharmacological Research and Development with U Magazine

In the summer edition of U Magazine from UCLA Health and the David Geffen School of Medicine, Dr. James McCracken, one of UCLA CART’s Executive Principal Investigators, discusses autism spectrum disorder and the federal health official’s new steps towards autism and advancing research and development of more effective pharmacological responses.

Dr. McCracken is the Joseph Campbell Professor of Child Psychiatry and Director of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the UCLA NPI-Semel Institute at UCLA. He is also the principal investigator of the National Institute of Mental Health Research Center, which aims to develop and test innovative treatments for cognitive defects associated with child psychiatric illness.
