About the Center for Sleep Research

We study the control and disorders of REM sleep. A major focus of the laboratory is understanding narcolepsy, its anatomy, pathophysiology and treatment. We also study sleep in animals to determine the evolution and functions of sleep.

Work in this laboratory is supported by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
