Trauma

The mission of this research area is to study stress, trauma, and resilience with the aim of developing novel and effective treatments and prevention methods for traumatic stress responses. Our faculty researchers seek to better understand how these adverse/traumatic experiences impact brain development. Through this understanding, they are then able to identify traumatic stress risks and develop novel treatments—both at the patient and community level.
