About

The UCLA Child & Youth Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (COE) provides workforce development, through evidence-based trainings, consultation, and coaching, designed to improve community mental health and wellbeing. It harnesses extensive expertise from the Jane and Terry Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA, as well as other campus-wide partnerships. The center is committed to transforming prevention services through online and in person professional development. Its offerings aim to enhance the wellbeing of all of Los Angeles County and support systems of care that are both trauma and resilience informed.

Access a variety of courses, printable tools, and videos to support professional wellbeing and trauma and resilience informed spaces from the UCLA Child & Youth Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (COE) on the Wellbeing for LA Learning Center (learn.wellbeing4la.org).

Prior to July 1, 2026 the Child & Youth Behavioral Health Center of Excellence functioned as the UCLA Prevention Center of Excellence. This update reflects a broader focus on behavioral health and wellbeing for children, youth and families living and working in LA County.
