The Semel Institute Implementation Science and Practice Hub (ISPH) was established in 2025 within the UCLA Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences. ISPH supports the Semel Institute as well as the broader UCLA and Southern California communities by providing expertise in implementation science (IS) and advancing IS research, education, and practice across disciplines and care settings.
Led by Director Dr. Alison Hamilton, the Hub brings together a multidisciplinary faculty who offer consultation and training in the implementation of interventions in psychiatry, biobehavioral sciences, mental health, and related services. ISPH also supports capacity-building in implementation practice and quality improvement in healthcare settings, community engagement and co-design, pragmatic methods in implementation science, and policy and health systems translation. ISPH services include IS training, grant proposal consultation, IS office hours, works-in-progress series, and ISPH-affiliate program.
