April Fante

April Fante serves as the Program Manager for Disability Support Services (DSS) at the North Orange Continuing Education (NOCE). She is a member and active participant of the California Association for Postsecondary Education and Disability (CAPED), Autism Spectrum Disorder Interest Group (CIG), Orange County Local Partnership Agreement (OCLPA) Steering Committee, Postsecondary Education Transition Consortium (PSETC), NOCE Student Equity and Achievement, and has over 20 years of experience in postsecondary education. April has served as a DSS Instructor, Counselor, Curriculum Writer, and has developed and managed grant funded programs/services, including, College to Career, Mobility Training Program, and Educational Coaching for students with disabilities over the past 14 years. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach and obtained a Master of Science degree in Educational Counseling and a Master of Science in Educational Technology, with distinction. Prior to transitioning into postsecondary education, April was an Elementary school Teacher in South Central Los Angeles and received her Cross-cultural, Language and Academic Development (CLAD) California Teaching Credential with a focus on English Language Learners, while serving as the liaison for the District Extended Learning Program. She is a strong advocate for students with disabilities and inclusion.
