Research / Technique
Neuroscience, Neuroimaging, and Neuromodulation
Research in this area encompasses aspects of basic and translational neuroscience relevant to psychiatric illnesses. Faculty researchers aim to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic approaches for people with neurological and psychiatric conditions. These approaches include the optimization of brain function and behavior and promotion of brain health across the lifespan. Because the focus ranges from molecular to systems-based approaches and developmental paradigms, the resulting work is highly collaborative across our divisions, the entire Department of Psychiatry, and the university at large.
