Laura Hansen is the study coordinator for the UCLA Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) study. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at St. Edward's University and her Master's degree in Health Psychology at Texas State University. In graduate school, she administered neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments to psychiatric inpatients at a residential treatment facility. Laura also worked as a research assistant examining the effect of pain on cognition using a well-known intelligence test, Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Fourth Edition (WAIS-IV). Laura is now the point of contact for the NF1 study and enjoys working with the participants and their families.
