Katie Young

Katie graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Biochemistry in 2015. Katie became interested in mental health after working as research assistant in a first-episode schizophrenia clinic. There, she earned course credit and learned both clinical, as well as administrative skillsets. Katie enjoys working with patients and looks forward to a career within the health field. As the current clinic coordinator, Katie manages staff, student, volunteer and participant schedules while coordinating new participant intake and managing research data collected at CAPPS. Katie is the main point of contact for current and potential participants in CAPPS research and related services. Katie offers a kind, familiar face to those coming in to the clinic, as well as an accessible, informed resource to those with inquiries regarding the clinic and/or the appropriateness of a referral.
