Biography
Dr. Carpenter received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Dartmouth College and her PhD in Neurobiology from the University of Chicago. She received postdoctoral training first with Dr. Michael J. Bastiani, then with Dr. Mario R. Capecchi in the Departments of Biology and Human Genetics at the University of Utah. She is currently a Professor in the Dept. of Psychiatry and the Chair of the undergraduate Neuroscience Interdepartmental Program. She is also an Assistant Director for the Brain Research Institute at UCLA.Publications
