Theater Breaking Through Barriers (TBTB)

TBTB, Theater Breaking Through Barriers (formerly known as Theater by the Blind) is the only professional Off-Broadway theater, and one of the few theaters in the country, dedicated to advancing actors and writers with disabilities and changing the image of people with disabilities from dependence to independence. They are an integrated company, combining the work of both professional artists with disabilities with non-disabled artists. They believe that through artistic excellence and the development of role models they can make their claim at last for full inclusion of people with disabilities into society.
