The Metropolitan Washington Ear, Inc.

The Metropolitan Washington Ear offers free services for blind, visually impaired, and physically disabled people who cannot effectively read print. They are a national organization that conducts research and provides services for persons who are blind or have partial vision, as well as people with other disabilities. The Ear has developed and perfected audio description, a technique that uses trained narrators to describe, between lines of dialogue, what is happening on screen, television or stage.
