Sculpture Description: You can see two clear glass legs with floral decorative drawings. The blown glass leg sizes are like an 8-woman size. One is a full leg and the other one is shorter like up to the knee. They are attached to a used plastic prosthesis. The shew-like prostheses belonged to an Iranian amputee. You can see they are old and carry marks that imply personal history. There is no pedestal. Each leg stands upright and independent but is posed in a pair. One is a single step ahead, but they are close like a pair of legs that belonged to a person.

Techniques: These blown glass legs are cast with sand molds. To make the mold, I have cast my own legs in plaster, first. Then I used the plaster models to create the molds. I used a traditional technique that mixes the sand with plaster and cement proportionally. A wood box holds the mold from exploring with hot glass during the process. An Iranian glass-blowing artisan blew the glass legs. The legs are carved in with specific stone wheels under running water. In the last step, we draw on the carved glass legs with kiln inks and gold and leave them in a kiln shortly.
