Much of the birch wood is exposed on this side of the work. On the right is a little boy in front of a white birthday cake. On it, it says, “Happy Birthday Mikey.” The boy’s face is red as if it is burned or his skin is peeling off, and it is somewhat disturbing. He is wearing a blue shirt.
