A published artist, writer, educator and voice over actor, he has over 30 years of experience as a graphic designer/illustrator, fine artist, and writer, working in the entertainment, publishing, aerospace, research and multimedia industries. He has received over a dozen design and artistic recognition awards including an Adobe Design Achievement Award, Society of Illustration West, California Art League, LA City Council, Valley Theatre League, and Hollywood Arts Festival. Some of his past clients include: Walt Disney Studios, CBS Studios, Kaiser Permanente, Litton Data Systems and Venus Fort (Tokyo). He has traveled extensively; living & working at times in Norway, England and Japan.

The image is of a child’s playroom. The playroom is constructed of two walls, which form the corner of the room and the floor tiles, which are all in shades of gray. The wall on the left side of the piece is a darker gray that disappears into shadow. The wall on the right side of the painting has textured bands of various gray colors running in vertical stripes up the wall. This wall also gradually disappears into darkness. The floor tiles are a mottled mix of gray colors and spots.

Doesn’t Play Well with Others

n the background on the left side of the painting, in front of the fence, a rust colored bull peaks out from behind a grayish barn and looks forward toward the front part of the painting, where one can see the torso of an older woman wearing a whitish bandana, red t-shrt and holding a rusty tin can full of feed grain and a small, whitish plastic bucket in her left hand. The image of her figure dominates the central part of the image. The woman has a bit of a bemused smile on her face.

Feeding Time for Mr. Bull

The rectangle is divided down the middle by a curvy shape similar to the female form. On the right side of the rectangle is a row of thorny projections that seem to pierce the softness of the rectangle. Towards the bottom of the image in the lower right side, is a fan-shaped band of translucent, pointed, green leaf fronds. Behind the fronds, is a golden-yellowish. camouflaged, silhouetted figure of a woman lying on her side. Her body transforms into the serpentine shape of a snake

Ode to Rousseau

A light blue, cloudless sky occupies the top portion of the painting. On the right side of the painting, the viewer is viewing a city street scene. In the lowest portion of the painting, a sidewalk sprinkled with the day’s detritus, butts up against a group of buildings (2 and 3 stories tall) and disappears into the distance. The closest building to the viewer is covered in a colorful graffiti mural, which dominates most of the left side of the painting. In the extreme foreground, a large, brown teddy bear.
