Kathie Warren

Artist Bio
From childhood she always was doing something creative. As an adult went into the business world, then Kathie fell down the rabbit hole into the art world. She earned a degree in graphic art and fine art. She sculpts in clay, in oil, paints on canvas, also paints dye on silk. Challenging herself as she goes, has created several commissioned works. For nearly 10 years, as part of the Santora/SA Artist Village Green Door Gallery, where she exhibited and sold her eclectic range of art works works and hosted emerging artists. Now in 2017,she has designed by painting and formatting a book for the Celtic author Gregory Patrick. Currently, a OCFA member and resident artist Avantgarden Art Gallery, SA.

Artistic Discipline
Specialize in Oil/mixed media on canvas. In relief, sculptural in texture. Exploring new methods and materrials.

Education
Self taught enriched by Orange Coast College art degree, and Platt College Graphic Design degree.

Professional Experience:
Resident artist with OCFA, AvantGarden, since 01/2013-present.

• Exhibit 11/2016 at Showcase gallery, SA.
• Exhibit coming up at Orange County Contemporary Art, SA. ArtVenture, CM, 11/2016.
• OC Fair - each year, since 2010, doing ceramic hand building Demonstrations.
• Commissioned to design and format book cover, with interior artistic embellishments a book of mid-century Celtic tales, 2017-18. This is the second book for the same author.

Accommodation Needs
Post-polio, paralyzed legs, use power chair and bus for transportation. I depend on others to transport my art.
