Two of the most common mood disorders are depression and bipolar disorder. At UCLA we have many groups researching, assessing and treating the whole spectrum of mood disorders, helping individuals and their families suffering from these conditions.
- Our research programs are focused on improving treatments for mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder; there are also projects specific to mood disorders in children/adolescents and during women's life phases.
- Our clinical programs seek to specifically evaluate and treat depression and bipolar disorder (also known as manic depression).
