New model predicts lifetime risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease dementia

Several media outlets featured a new study led by Ron Brookmeyer, a professor of biostatistics at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, reporting that a person’s risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease dementia in his or her lifetime varies greatly depending on the person’s age, gender and disease state.
