An Oct. 1 Financial Times column about the effect of the Internet and related technologies on young people’s minds cited research by Dr. Gary Small, professor of psychiatry at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA and director of the UCLA Center on Aging. He found that using new media can change the way we think and alter our brains’ structure.
