A Consumer Reports article on maintaining or improving memory and thinking skills featured Dr. Zaldy Tan, medical director of the UCLA Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Program, and Dr. Gary Small, a professor of psychiatry and biobehavioral sciences. The article also cited a 2016 study led by Tan finding that adults who were more active had a larger hippocampus, the part of the brain involved in memory and learning. Yahoo! News carried the article.
