Alzheimer's Prevention Project

Project summary
We are seeking candidates to participate in a study on memory and exercise named the Alzheimer’s Prevention Project. The purpose of this study is to determine whether participation in a cognitive training and physical exercise intervention may improve mental performance and reduce cardiovascular risk factors for memory problems. This study will last six months and all visits will take place at UCLA or the St. Monica’s Church in Santa Monica. If you choose to join the study, you will be asked to participate in a twice-weekly program over the course of three months. This program involves the following: 1) Fitness and clinical assessments to measure your physical health, 2) Physical training, 3) Cognitive assessment & training, 4) Nutritional counseling & coaching, and 5) Activity monitoring.
