Dr. Helen Lavretsky, professor of psychiatry at the Semel Institute and director of the Late-Life Depression, Stress, and Wellness Research Program, was featured in an April14 KABC—Channel 7 news segment on her research showing that Tai Chi Chih, the ancient martial art, Tai Chi, when combined with medication, helped elderly people lower their level of depression and improved their memory and cognition.
