About

The William Yang Lab uses genetic, molecular, and imaging tools to study the mechanisms of neurodegenerative and psychiatric disorders. Their work focuses on diseases such as Huntington’s disease, Alzheimer’s, and schizophrenia, using mouse models and brain circuit analysis. The lab develops and applies cutting-edge techniques including brain-wide mapping and functional imaging. By dissecting how specific genes and circuits contribute to behavior and pathology, the team aims to uncover new targets for treatment. The lab is part of UCLA’s Department of Psychiatry and the Center for Neurobehavioral Genetics.
