About

The Green Laboratory is a clinical research team dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders through a better understanding of cognition, social cognition, and motivation. In addition, the Green Lab has a program of research to understand and improve community integration for homeless Veterans.

The Green Lab is part of the UCLA Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA, and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The laboratory includes faculty members and postdoctoral fellows with expertise in cognitive and social neuroscience, psychiatric rehabilitation, and clinical trials of novel psychosocial and psychopharmacological treatments. Funding for the research projects in the Green Lab come from the National Institute of Mental Health, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and private foundations.
