Center for Community Health

The UCLA Semel Institute Center for Community Health conducts cutting-edge research using digital health and immersive technologies, AI, implementation science and statistical methods to enhance the mental and physical health of children and adults in high-risk situations and underserved populations. The center employs a multidisciplinary team with expertise in psychiatry, psychology, sociology, digital health intervention development, implementation science, biostatistics, data science, and epidemiology. Their research focuses on developing clinician- and client-facing interventions targeting health issues such as cancer, HIV, depression, diabetes, HIV, and substance use. Their research is anchored by collaborations with other research centers, community partners, healthcare technology companies, and international institutions.
