About
ISAP is one of UCLA’s leading research and training centers focused on substance use and addiction. It conducts studies on the effectiveness of prevention, treatment, and recovery services across a wide range of populations. The program also provides technical assistance and workforce development to improve addiction services statewide and nationally. Researchers at ISAP collaborate with public health agencies and policymakers to translate findings into real-world impact. Its mission is to advance evidence-based strategies that reduce the harm of substance use disorders.
