UCLA Hispanic Neuropsychiatric Center of Excellence (HNCE)

The HNCE is dedicated to improving mental health outcomes in Hispanic and Latino communities through culturally competent clinical care, research, and workforce development. The center supports bilingual training for students and clinicians, ensuring they can meet the needs of Spanish-speaking populations. It also conducts research on mental health disparities, access to care, and cultural influences on diagnosis and treatment. The HNCE works in collaboration with community agencies and public health systems. Its overarching goal is to eliminate mental health inequities in underserved communities.
