Forbes.com reported July 28 on a Nature study by an international group of research centers, including UCLA, finding that the DNA of children with autism spectrum disorders shows a higher rate of genetic variations than in unaffected children. Principal investigator Dr. Daniel Geschwind, Gordon and Virginia MacDonald Distinguished Chair in Human Genetics, was quoted.
