UCLA CART Investigator Dr. McCracken in Autism NEWS
New York Times, Others Highlight new Effort to Fast Track ASD Drugs
Dr. James McCracken, Campbell Professor of Child Psychiatry and director of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Semel Institute, was featured in an April 24 New York Times article about a new $9 million effort he will lead to form a network of researchers at UCLA and other academic centers that will try to identify promising new and older drug compounds quickly to treat autism spectrum disorders. The effort is being financed by the National Institute of Mental Health. The study was also featured April 24 on the KPCC 89.3FM website and HealthCanal.com, and April 23 by Examiner.com.
