Exome sequencing of 457 families in the SPARK for Autism study has led to exciting results
Exome sequencing of 457 SPARK autism families has led to exciting results! The study identified nine new autism-risk genes that were not previously associated with autism. One of these genes is called BRSK2 and has strong support for being related to autism. Future genetic analyses that include tens of thousands of families will help to identify even more autism-risk genes.
