‘Born This Way’ – featuring Pathway & CECY Youth Advocate – Scores Emmy Win

A&E’s “Born This Way,” has won an Emmy for outstanding unstructured reality program. The show follows seven young adults with the chromosomal disorder along with their families and friends as they tackle everything from jobs to dating and independent living. This season, it features Caley Versfelt, youth advocate, and graduate of Pathway at UCLA Extension, Special Olympics Ambassador, and a past CECY Youth Advisory Committee member. The show was named to the Television Academy Honors, which highlights shows that “tackle complex issues and advance social change.” Episodes are also available online.
