Description: This painting was done on a 12x9 inch wooden canvas board. It has a green background. In the foreground is a large orchid. It is up close to the point where the edges of the petals are cut off and extend to the sides of the canvas. The orchid has three white petals and two pink ones with a white and pink center.

Describe the style and technique you used to create your art:
I created this piece using WInsor and Newton oil paints and linseed oil. I began with a reference photo which I then cropped to get that “Georgia O’keeffe” look. I painted the petals and let them dry before adding in the veins and smaller details in the center of the flower.
