Follow-up Projects to Statewide Forums on Careers in the Arts for People with Disabilities

Follow-up Projects to Statewide Forums on Careers in the Arts for People with Disabilities

Deadline: February 29, 2012

The National Arts and Disability Center (NADC) in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) is pleased to announce support to state arts agencies to carry out Follow-up Projects to their Statewide Forum on Careers in the Arts for People with Disabilities. Please see attached.

Follow-up activities should focus on individuals with disabilities who are pursuing careers in the arts and those who can support the work of artists with disabilities (i.e. arts employers, arts organizations, service providers, educators). Projects will be required to describe and report on the impact on artists with disabilities being employed or self employed. States are to address the career development of artists with disabilities of all ages, including youth.

State art agencies that previously conducted a Statewide Forum are eligible to apply for support to conduct new activities based on the identified needs, findings and/or strategic plan that were developed as a result of the initial Forum.  State arts agencies that previously received follow-up support may apply to carry out a new activity.

To express interest please contact Katharine Hayward at khayward@mednet.ucla.edu  by February 6 or if you have any questions.
