As a child, I had depression but I did not know what it was. I was sad and cried over everything. After years of suicidal depression and a hysterectomy at the age of 30, I was hospitalized for a suicide attempt. A prophetic dream occurred after my release. I prayed that I would be of some use to the world and the folks of Peapickin Crossroads began to populate my mind. I now write their stories and make sculptures of the people who live in this small, rural, imaginary community "where the Rule is Golden and the folks are all friendly".
