Treatment of Geriatric Depression with Mild Cognitive Impairment

Project summary

For those who are suffering from feelings of depression, sadness, hopelessness, memory loss, concentration difficulties, lack of energy, or loss of interest and pleasure in activities; UCLA is conducting a 12-month research study using an experimental combination of two drugs and a placebo (an inactive substance). If you are 60 years of age or older, not currently receiving any psychiatric treatment with effective medications, you may qualify. Medical and psychiatric evaluations and limited physical exams are provided as a part of the study. Participants will undergo a PET scan and two MRI scans. Evaluations and study drug are provided at no charge.
