LASER event at UCLA: ART-SCI; 1/17/2013, 7pm, @CNSI Bldg

January 17th, 7-9pm is the inaugural LASER with participation of:

Everyone invited will introduce their work in 3 minute pecha-kucha style presentation. This is followed by drinks and food / socializing and making new connections.

LASER meetings were started by Piero Scaruffi in San Francisco and now there are meetings in New York, Washington D.C. and now in Los Angeles! UCLA Art | Sci center is affiliated with Leonardo and is extending their social networking from North / South campus mixers to the Los Angeles megalopolis, the UC and anyone involved with Art Sci collaborations or who happens to be in LA during the monthly meetings. To start with, the gatherings are at the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) presentation space but  future meetings are planned off campus with affiliated institutions and groups. Art | Sci director Victoria Vesna will lead the LASER meetings.
