College to Career at the North Orange County Community College District
College to Career (C2C) at the North Orange County Community College District, School of Continuing Education is a three-year program designed for students with intellectual disabilities (ID) to obtain academic and vocational training at the Anaheim, Cypress, and Wilshire campuses. The goal of C2C is to increase students’ self-reliance and employability. The program provides on-campus instruction, a range of adaptive equipment, tutoring, educational coaching, and opportunities for students to work independently on instructional modules. Program focus areas are: college course access, employment, and self-determination. Students take the following types of courses:
- Typical Continuing Education courses
- Typical college credit courses
- Vocational preparation
- Travel training
Housing: No housing is offered through this program.
Duration: The program is a three year course of study.
Application:
Criteria for Admission include:
- The applicant is required to be a current consumer of the Regional Center with an intellectual disability
- Be able to safely navigate the campus independently
- Must meet eligibility guidelines for state agencies (i.e., VR, Adult DD agencies)
- Have basic safety skills in an unsupervised setting.
