Welcome to the Pain & Addiction Research Lab
The Cahill Lab is devoted to the advancement of identifying novel treatment strategies to alleviate pain and opioid use disorder. We aim to understand how chronic pain changes reward and motivation in an effort to reduce addiction to prescription opioid medications. Our mission is to further pain-related scientific inquiry, to education and to facilitate translational science that will advance the development of novel analgesics and treatments for addiction. We are inclusive, nonjudgmental, collaborative research group with a keen interest in community outreach and clinical development.
