602/Health Services Research in Serious Mental Illness

Overview

This interdisciplinary seminar is for staff, trainees, residents and faculty.  Presentations and discussions cover a range of topics focused on treatment, services and outcomes in psychotic disorders.  Content is drawn from health services research, treatment effectiveness research, and implementation science.  Emphasis will be on the comparative effectiveness of treatments in community settings. 

 

Objectives: 
To understand methods used to evaluate and improve care and outcomes of people with mental illness
To be familiar with findings from implementation and quality improvement research regarding health policy and improving care
