David Freedman is a psychiatric epidemiologist working as a postdoctoral fellow in the Departments of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences. His research has focused on neurodevelopmental trajectory, cognition and psychiatric illness. He works on Dr. Bearden's grant examining the associations between cognition, neuroimaging, clinical symptom presentation and genetics in youth assessed as part of the The Philadelphia Neurodevelopmental Cohort. Dr. Freedman received his Ph.D. in Epidemiology in 2014 from Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health and his Sc.M. in Health Policy from the Harvard school of Public Health in 1999.
