Description of Painting or Photo:
The video opens with a
pianist’s view playing the opening bars of Beethoven’s Appassionata sonata.
There is an overlay of static from cochlear processor and tinnitus ringing.
Then the video takes the viewer on an animated journey into the interior of a
piano composited vintage medical illustrations, set to a soundtrack made with the
body of the piano excluding the keyboard. It ends with further excerpts of
Beethoven’s Appassionata.
Please describe the style and technique you used to create your art:
The photographs and videos are shot with a Sony a7iii camera and an
endoscope camera, and composited digitally using Photoshop and After Effects.
