Frances Spencer - Tango on the Plaza

Comment: Represents a plaza with red tiles and couples dancing the tango. In the background (at the top) is a small orchestra. I got the idea for the painting while watching a TV special, and couldn't resist making drawings, which later I transferred onto canvas and painted my own version of this scenario. I designed the outfits and also created several original large tiles. The small orchestra section was later commissioned by a performing group, The Jill Martini Soiree, and appears on the cover of their recording "It's the Mood" recorded in 2011.
