Training

Some clinics and organizations prefer to obtain consultation about how to train facilitators and other staff to use HOW and how to implement the program into those that are currently being offered to HIV positive or at risk women. Training can last for as few as two days to one week, depending on the numbers of staff being trained.

Consultation

Dr. Gail Wyatt, the PI of the HOW trials has a team of trainers who have worked with staff from several organizations. Her contact information is (310) 206 - 9860 or gwyatt@ mednet.ucla.edu. The approximate costs for consultation for various portions of HOW are listed below (see attached pdf).

While the curriculum and all other forms are in English and Spanish, the Training Manual is only offered in English. Decisions about translations were made to accomodate the bilingual staff and facilitators in the initial HOW Training.
